High Availability

High Availability Cloud

The High Availability (HA) functionality increases the Cloud service availability and reduces application downtime. HA provides uniform, cost-effective failover protection against hardware and Operating System (OS) failures. It monitors cloud servers to detect a failure on the underlying physical hosts or an OS failure on your Public Cloud. When an outage is detected, the HA automatically restarts the Public Cloud on another physical host HC Cloud infrastructure to resume operations.

What to Consider?

All Public Clouds can be scaled up in CPU, RAM and Storage at any time. You can start with a less computing resources and increase them on the go. Choose your server carefully by:

Virtual CPU (vCPU)

1 vCPU is equivalent to 1 physical CPU (pCPU). However, as an infrastructure computing provider, Host Color is much more flexible in increasing vCPU allocation to you Public Cloud, compared to physical CPU on Bare-Metal Dedicated servers.

Storage Type

All Public Clouds use an enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN). Our Cloud SAN offers different types of storage. Chose between enterprise SSD, SAS or SATA storage based on your apps and the amount of work that needs to be done.

Bandwidth or Data Transfer

It is important to understand how data transfer work. Choose a certain bandwidth commitment in Mbps or go for metered data transfer.

Network Performance & Traffic Analyzer

Do you need to understand your inbound and outbound traffic? We can help you to monitor data transfer usage by: Application, User, Protocol and Location.

Access & Security

Consider using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) which would allow you to limit the access to you Virtual Dedicated Server from specific IPs, devices and locations.
