Host Color Launched A New Website

We have recently decided to revamp Host Color's corporate website in full. The old one was created in 2006 and was based on our own proprietary content management system (CSM) build on Zend framework. It worked great for Host Color for almost 6 years and produced excellent results. Technologies are dynamically changing, however. So we decided that it was more reasonable our new corporate website to be based on strong web development standards supported by a large community of web developers, instead on our own CMS, build in-house.

After carefully reviewing a few of the most popular content management frameworks we decided to create the new HostColor.com on MODx.

There were a few very good reasons for us to make such decision. We have been passionate supporters and sponsor of MODx CMS for years in the first place. And I would like to thank Ryan Trash, the founder of MODx CMS, for being a good partner and friend through the years. He showed a great respect to Host Color's business and allowed us to be a premier sponsor and supporter of the CMS. It is not like there were not huge interest of some bigger web hosting providers to do the same.

There is a better reason to use MODx CMS, for sure. It is that MODx is a great web-publishing and website development platform, much more flexible than most of its larger contenders.

The third very good reason to choose MODx to create the new Host Color is that in 2009 we have created a few websites on MODx and all of them achieved excellent ranking in the Search engines. MODx is definitely a SEO friendly engine and this is a very good reason to be used for any kind of websites and online publications.
